Sheru
ADOPTED
Sheru is a 1 year old male dog that was tied to a rooftop 24/7 and abused. His food and water dishes were dusty because he was not being nourished, and the neighbours complained about the beatings his owners laid upon him. In spite of his former owners cruelty Sheru is a friendly and happy dog. They didn't diminish his good-natured character. Sheru is described as very friendly with dogs and humans. He will make a great companion for an active and loving household.

Tala
Tala’s rescue story began in a tiny mountain village along a dusty road in Nepal’s Himalaya. Our founder Lesley saw her scurry across a busy roadway on her hind paws, just narrowly getting out of the way of fast moving jeep. We learned that when Tala was a young dog a man cut off her feet with a machete-like sword called a Kurkuri. Tala survived and healed, but she was never able to walk again. Until now. TDR will fit Tala with prosthetic legs so her new owners will be able to give her the gift of movement. Tala is a very loving dog who bonds deeply with her human.

Kanchi
ADOPTED
Kanchi means little one in the Nepali language. Our Kanchi was rescued from being tied up 24/7 outside next to a sewer where flies swarmed and rats lived, and little one was forced to eat from the sewer when there was no other food. Her rescuer was a young Nepali woman whose family now fosters Kanchi while she seeks a forever home in Canada. She is very playful and energetic and will make a wonderful family companion on walks and hikes.
